Carrigaholt village, which lies on the southern side of the Loop Head Peninsula, Co. Clare is a special area of conservation and is home to about 140 dolphins and various marine and coastal wildlife. Dolphinwatch offers two-hour dolphin watching boat trips as an opportunity to get close to Bottlenose Dolphins during April through to October with prices for children from €12.50 and adults from €25. During Autumn they offer a four-hour Whale & Pelagic Bird with prices for children from €20 and adults from €40. Booking necessary in advance as trips depend on sea conditions, tides & passenger demand.
